Oh my! What hideous covers! What were they thinking? ...or weren't they? My mother would have never let me read those at 15 if they looked like that...

This is the cover of the Polish edition.
At first I didn't think much of it but comparing it with some the 'artistic visions' I got to see here I think it's not bad at all :)

"Dear schweigende Stern" really is the book "Out of The Silent Planet", but the translation is not a real translation, in German the title was changed a bit.

I saw new cover images for The Space Trilogy as part of the Signature Classics line on amazon.co.uk. I have included a link to the image for That Hideous Strength. If you search for the others on the site . . .their covers are excellent as well.

If anyone knows where I could get copies of these in the United States . . . I would be grateful.
