Holy Pragmatometer, UnMan!

John's current idea for reorganizing the forums is to do away with Space Trilogy and meld this into "Other Works".

Probably a reasonable idea, although I'll have a bit of a pang missing the ST as a separate forum.

…on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a fair green country under a swift sunrise.

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

ah, hubris....We know what comes next, don't we?

*sits down with a bowl of popcorn and waits for nemesis to enter*
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking.

This forum isn't very lively but I would be sorry to see it go :). I don't think it does any harm to keep it here.

I've just finished The Space Trilogy. I'm having a lot of fun reading the old threads, I'm delighted it's here :)
