Certainly the story of Lewis's conversion is not a depiction of a passive God. Remember, TSL is an as told by story, with the narrator being a demon of hell. It is not intended to be objective, but to reveal a definite slant (and wishful thinking on the part of the demon). Be sure to read the preface.
