I Just Finished Mere Christianity

Well, I finally finished it! I t took me a lot longer to read that ook than any other... there were so many angles and new ways to think about old things. I was so glad when my brother found this forum. I feel like such a newborn in my views, arguments, knowledge, but i hope to grow as i read your posts and talk about Lewis and his Legacy.

Congratulations on your first read of Mere Christianity! Did you favor any of the many illustrations that Lewis offers on a person's place in God's scheme of things? I myself liked the "ships in a fleet" theme. Since then, I've always though of my self as a Captain, chartered by God to run the ship (my life) in a way and direction that pleases him.
