Looking for a comprehensive index

Postby Sylvia Lee » April 27th, 2005, 4:09 pm

I wasn't quite sure where to put this. Someday I would like to find (and if I cannot find one, to make it myself) a comprehensive index of all of Lewis' works. Can anyone else perceive the wonderful value of such a volume? I am so excited about it, I want to start writing it right away, but I have to save up to buy indexing software first. And even then it will probably be a lifetime project. Any thoughts?

Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from thee.
Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.

Hooper's book, C. S. Lewis: A Companion & Guide, is probably the best one out there just now. It includes a 82 page bibilography of all of Lewis' works and lettters known as of 1996.

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

"What are you laughing at?"
"At myself. My little puny self," said Phillipa.

Have you folks come across a book called C.S. Lewis Index by Janine Goffar? It's organised by topic/keyword and can be very helpful.

Hmm, I shall have to look into these above-mentioned books.

Thanks :)
