…on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a fair green country under a swift sunrise.

Time doesn't exist for God. He sees all points of time at once. Lewis does mention this toward the end of The Great Divorce in relation to (fear and trembling, I am approaching a controversial subject) Predestination. There is a considerable discussion of time in that section of the book, but it's pretty deep and philosophical. Will go back and study it before commenting further.

I think, however, that realization of Time's non-existence to God is important if we believe in Christianity at all (which I do at times and at others time do not).
