yet another lost quote

hey all, i've been looking for this lewis quote for some time, but due to a lack of ability to find any reference to it anywhere i began to disbelieve that he had written it. until yesterday when it was on this site's homepage. now, if you know where it is, i will be terribly grateful.

"If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this."

any takers?

Mere Christianity, Book 3, chapter 10 'Hope', in the first paragraph.
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.
