Welcome, mairead!

Your quote doesn't ring any bells with me. Can you remember any more of it, or is there any other way of expressing it in your memory? Do you remember where you heard it at?
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

"What are you laughing at?"
"At myself. My little puny self," said Phillipa.

thanks, all.
I do not remember any more of the quote.
It is on a CD of a talk about faith and the like.
I have been listening to this set of CDs for Lent,
actually pod-casts that my son put on CDs for me, a 10-CD set,
I don't recall which talk had the quote, and I don't intend to listen to it all again to find it.
It is a series of talks entitled 'Going Deeper' by the
Family Theater in CA, in case you want to know,
originally given in 2005-2006.

I will take your word for it that it's not Lewis.
