Funeral of a Great Myth

Postby rusmeister » September 4th, 2008, 3:20 am

Wondering if anyone else here has ever read this great essay?
Its relevancy came up on another current thread (Star Trek) and I was very surprised to find out that nobody (who had read the thread) had read (or remembered - which counts as pretty much the same thing) this essay from "Christian Reflections". On a CS Lewis forum, that's pretty astonishing!

If anyone has, I'd like to see what modern and popular phenomenon we know of that support (or perhaps more accurately, are supported by) the Myth. I've identified Star Trek as one of them.

General discussion of the essay also welcome!
