Postby Carita » March 6th, 2009, 3:34 pm

' when the devil accuses me of being juvenile I tell him that he has gotten terribly middle-aged'
I am quite sure that this is by C.S Lewis but I cannot remember which essay it was in. Can anyone help?

Doesn't ring any bells with me. Do you remember anymore of the context?
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.
