God's presence vs. the awareness of His presence

God's presence vs. the awareness of His presence

Postby kjf » November 18th, 2004, 5:46 am

I read a one page essay or excerpt from a longer work years ago in which CS Lewis wrote about the difference between God's presence and the awareness of His presence. His point was, I believe, that the former was most important. Can anyone help me find this essay?

I am not certain, but it sounds like it may have been an excerpt from A Grief Observed
"You can't go walking through Mordor in naught but your skin."
Put on the full armor of God.
