Lewis and his brother Warnie were born and lived untill he was 7 at Dundela Villas, Dundela, Belfast, Ireland. That was the address then, the Villas were torn down in 1952, and of course, Belfast is now in Northern Ireland. Now located there are some apartments named Dundela Flats, located at 47 Dundela Avenue, in the Dundela neighborhood, which is in turn inside the Strandtown district of Belfast.

Two miles or so away is Little Lea, where Lewis lived from 1905 to 1917. The modern address is 76 Circular Road in the Strandtown district of Belfast.

Both locations now have small blue plaques up identifying them and their connection to Lewis.

As an extra, the church that Lewis was baptised in by his grandfather, St. Mark's Dundela, is located nearby at 2 Sydenham Avenue.
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.
