Hi Bob!

Fortunately, this is not a dodgy forum. :) I hope you're not desperate because this homework is due tomorrow ;) . Sometimes there's no one here to answer questions right away.

One strong influence on Lewis was his teacher W.T. Kirkpatrick. Mr. Kirkpatrick tutored him from the ages of 16-18 (roughly). Lewis said that Kirkpatrick, who was not a Christian, taught him how to think and argue. You can read more about what Lewis had to say about him in Surprised by Joy.
"What are you laughing at?"
"At myself. My little puny self," said Phillipa.

Surprised by Joy is a wonderful resource to learn about Lewis' childhood up through his conversion to Christianity. That is probably the best source you can go to to and you can glean lots of information relevant to your topic. And the book shouldn't take you too long to read, either.
Take my voice and let me sing always only for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from thee.
Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.

"You can't go walking through Mordor in naught but your skin."
Put on the full armor of God.
