Shadowlands. There are two versions, one with Anthony Hopkins as Lewis, the other with Joss Ackland. Neither is good biography, but both are good movies.
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

It may have been "Shadowlands." There are two versions, the Hollywood version with Debra Winger and Anthony Hopkins and the BBC version with people I can't remember but it was better, I thought. This just focuses on Lewis's marriage to Joy Davidman, though, not his whole life.

I know of two films, both named Shadowlands, and both based off of D. Gresham's book about life with Lewis. The first was a BBC production, the second starred Anthony Hopkins and Debrah Winger.

-- BBC (1985)
-- Hopkins (1993)

Of the two, I prefer the BBC television production. Hopkins is a wonderful actor, but Lewis doesn't seem a very Hopkins-like man. That film also left out the other Gresham boy. It's still a touching film, however.
