Welcome, Cass!

I'm sorry, but being as Letters to Children is still in copyright, and the Lewis estate is rather aggressive about protecting that copyright, I really doubt you'll find much in the way of excerpts. Is there anything in particular you were looking for?
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

Nothing majorly specific i was really just looking for a few quotes to explain Lewis' purpose in writing LWW. i know he explained many of the characters and the purposes that they surved and i was looking for the quotes to back that up.

Do you have access to any edition of Companion to Narnia? I include extracts from the most important letters in the Introduction.

Go here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/068482 ... e&n=283155

And use the Search in this Book feature to find letters about Narnia, Aslan, or whatever.

That's not a bad idea, guest, but that particular Amazon book doesn't have a 'Search the book' option. Amazon UK doesn't eithier.
