HELP! a newbie find a quote **Pleeze** :)

Postby starbucksbuzz » October 21st, 2006, 4:27 pm

Hey, I'm looking for a quote from Surprised by Joy where Lewis says something to the effect that he only writes about things that he's experienced. I haven't read the entire book yet (working on it!) but my sister did, and doesn't remember where the quote is. (bummer) and i can't seem to find it floating around the internet. Anybody here know what passage I'm talking about? :read:

Welcome, Buzz.

I think what you're looking for is in the summation on the last page of the book.
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

Hmmm.

Just read the last chapter and didn't see anything of the like in there... (the chapter titled "The Beginning" correct?)

"What are you laughing at?"
"At myself. My little puny self," said Phillipa.
