Define Charientoracy

Hi Malcolm,

Charientocracy, in Lewis's essay, means something like "rule by the refined," I believe. That is, the cultured, the sensitive, the refined folks having their way with everybody.

That's just from a quick glane at the essay and a quick lookup of the Greek charientes, so somebody else may have more to add.
