Of course God is an alien. He exists in timeless, hyperdimensional space.

If you mean "'God' is made out of atoms and stuff just like us but happens to come from another star system, and that he's been the subject of a good deal of misunderstanding by primitive Earthlings", how mundane and unimaginative.

No. God exists beyond time and space. He is timeless and hyperdimensional. Or to use an older metaphor: He is eternal and enthroned on high.
