Who knew this whole discussion would have some good tangible effect?! :D

In the Catholic Church which is a somewhat patriarchal system with only male priests, the "lack of challenge" complaint doesn't seem to hold water. If anyone should be complaining, it should have been me, and I'm not. I happen to like it just the way it is.

I now know three men who have no good excuse for not going to Mass and are all of a sudden going. Two of them have started working towards First Communion.

I also found out the name of the kind of church I really, really don't like: the market-driven church. :cuss:
