Are there any other good Christian fantasy novels beside Lewis or Tolkien's stuff? Left Behind just doesn't hold the same appeal.

The Song of Albion was good, but not excellent. I loved the fact that Lawhead took a deliberate pace rather than tossing the readers into the action head-first but it did not move me spirtually very much. For me its a series with Christian elements in it, rather than a Christian fantasy.

The same could be said of James Stoddard, a litte-known fantasy author who happens to be a Christian as well. His book, "The High House", is a very original (if flawed) fantasy with many references (both overt and subtle) to Tolkien, Chesterton, George MacDonald and Lewis, and non-Christian authors like Mervyn Peake. The setting is fascinating but I'd rather not spoil it here. Its best explored as a reader. :)

Is Madeleine L'Engle a Christian? I believe I read somewhere that she is.
If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.

A#minor will diminish to A flat minor, if she's not careful.

Edit that to "She" and I'll ignore it. ;)
