Well I didn't follow a lot of that :smile:, but I like NT Wright's view: God's realm (heaven) and ours intersect. In the OT, the place where they met was the Tabernacle and then the Temple. And now, the place where they meet is Christ. Christians therefore should be the embodiment of that intersection, showing forth Christ to the world.

Yes but would you say there's a greater tendency in Judaism than in Christianity to take anthropomorphic language literally, or at least not to protest against it: Maimonides being something of an exception because of his strong Greek influences.
