How would telling people to be nice to one another get a man crucified? What government would execute Mister Rogers or Captain Kangaroo?

"What are you laughing at?"
"At myself. My little puny self," said Phillipa.

I think the quotation you provided, while neutral, would demonize conflict-intensification to anyone who believes that conflict is inherently wrong, and fewer would consider that the conflict itself might be justified (obviously, this should be completely divorced from conflicts turning to violence, as that is a different kettle of fish) in insisting that there may be actual right and wrong over which compromise is impossible.

I've come to the conclusion that participation in large-scale politics is useless, and not something a Christian should be wasting time and energy over. Loving our neighbor and changing the area we can really affect should be our business - if our political involvement takes anything at all from that then it is too much.

“And turn their grief into song?" he replied. "That would be a gracious act and a good beginning."

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best -- " and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.
