How would telling people to be nice to one another get a man crucified? What government would execute Mister Rogers or Captain Kangaroo?

"What are you laughing at?"
"At myself. My little puny self," said Phillipa.

Here's a specific link to Orthodoxy:

and a general one to GKC:

The American Chesterton Society (ACS) is good, too, but they don't link to online stuff, preferring to sell hard copy:

As someone who went through a state teaching certificate program with plenty of experience already under my belt, I was able to see (as most inexperienced candidates are not) how they are teaching teachers this thought that stops thought, and sending them out to teach our kids. I later learned about the history of education in the US, something people are remarkably ignorant of (most know we had one-room schoolhouses a long time ago, and today it's different, and somehow in a very bad state, but how it got that way is a big blank).

…on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a fair green country under a swift sunrise.
