Good suggestions, all. I'm reading everything by Samuel Johnson that I can get my hands on at the moment. Quite a character, that man.

And John, that looks most interesting. I've just ordered a copy, and a copy of Knowing with the Heart.

That's my Secret Santa duties fulfilled. :)

My best book this year has been a devotional book

Devotional Classics edited by Richard Foster. I am getting through a chapter a week and discussing it every few months with my spiritual director.

I'll second the recommendation of "The Everlasting Man" (for adults). And recommend it to Nietzsche here, too. :smile:
