As far as reality shows are concerned, the only one that I really enjoyed was Rescue 911, which aired in the 1990's. It showed how paramedics actually worked and how the people's lives were saved. That one was a real gem compared to what's on now. Why don't people enjoy quality television today?

We have half a dozen of those rescue shows on here - my mother likes them.

I think Rescue 911 was probably the first reality rescue show made here in the U. S. There are crime investigation shows such as CSI, but I like the human interest reality better because it depicts ordinary people challenged by adversity, and how they maintain a positive outlook. It's more about the courage of the people than the sometimes distressing situations.
