No reason to study? How can you have an opinion on something about which you know nothing?

Note that I said informed opinion.

First you study - then you form your opinion based on what you have studied.

What about my opinion that I dislike "The Four Seasons"? It's a popular piece - lots of people like it. I don't - as I said, I find it dull and over-rated. Is my opinion invalid just because I am in the minority?
