I'd like to address the many posts earlier in this thread concerning folks moving away from the Anglican Communion and into the RCC or EOC, and vice-versa. The implication seemed to be that the number of folks moving in one direction or the other was somehow a validation of the the group to which they were moving.

Now, if one could prove the validity of a group by how fast people are flowing into it, then we Pentecostals would be able to claim, indisputably, to be the "valid" church. Just two examples of articles about this are linked below. You can find many others with minimal effort.

Now, here's the thing. We don't pretend that this proves anything. Sure, we believe this growth is is because we are truly bringing people closer to God than the churches they are in, but we know we can't prove that this is why they are coming to us. Our critics, of course, have other explanations which are not nearly as flattering, but which they can not prove either.

People flocking to Pentecostal churches proves they feel we have something they need or want. It does not prove that we are right.

Even if everyone in the Anglican Communion left and became RCC or EOC, that in and of itself would prove absolutely nothing, except that the PEOPLE were unhappy with that church. It would not, in any way, prove which church was right.
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
