Plato: what DO they teach them in school these days?

Postby Nerd42 » March 10th, 2010, 4:33 am

C. S. Lewis's apologetics have led me back to reading Plato. (Well, actually listening to audio books of Plato but same difference) Most interesting dialogue so far has been Euthyphro. Which of the Platonic dialogues do you think are most relevant to Christianity and C. S. Lewis's writings?

I just finished reading The Abolition of Man and noticed that Lewis often quotes from Plato's Republic. I have not read Plato yet, but I think I am going to add him to the list.

Thank you, Nerd42 for those links! I agree with you about the importance of The Abolition of Man... and its such a small book!
