I've just been listening to the BBC dramatization of LOTR and realized that Tom Bombadil is completely left out of it, as is Old Man Willow and Goldberry, and all the Old Forest! Poor old Tom! He is left out of everything, isn't he? Nobody wants him, poor ol' fellow.

Nobody wants him? I'd like to BE him, if Goldberry were there too! Have felt that way since my brief "hippie" days.
There are times I speak in unconscious rhymes.
Re: The Aule/Yavanna theory -- if Goldberry is Daughter of the River(woman) could that make her a Maia or offspring of Uinen?
