Jo, you are just flying through your reading! A true readathon, they shall write songs of this...
Speaking of songs, it made me chuckle to read Gimli's response to Aragorn's and Legolas' tributes to Boromir. (And by the by, I am reading these songs for the first time - I used to skim them - and they are amazing.) Gimli's response: "You left the East Wind to me, but I will say naught of it." Do you think that Gimli just isn't a singer/songwriter and that this was his way out of it?
As for the readathon, I'm with Gandalf and the boys as they are about to enter Meduseld. I'm going at a snail's pace here but I only have about a half an hour of reading before I fade into unconciousness. What a great way to fall asleep though.
But to jump ahead where you all are, what did you think of Faramir in the movies? I mean aside from the obvious detour to Osgiliath travesty.
