we had to read "The Hobbit" last year in the 8th grade and it took us like 6 whole weeks to finish it! but we also had to do this game and worksheets for it.

News on the movie front: New Line wants someone other than Peter Jackson to make 'the Hobbit' and the 'scond prequel leading up to LOTR'.

Not sure what to think of this. Jackson certainly wasn't as book purist as I wanted him to be. However, without Jackson will Weta Workshop do the effects? Will Howard Shore do the music? I can't imagine changin those vital things; it just wouldn't feel the same as LOTR.
