Welcome, Erunannë!
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

Welcome, erunanne! Always glad to have another Tolkien fan around.

Return of the King always makes me sad too, but in a good way. There's so much depth of feeling and all the characters mature and 'come into their own' so to speak. They are tested individually instead of as a group, and each must prove his own strength. It's also sad because it's the end of all things, the end of the Fellowship, the end of the Elves, the end of the books.

You really need to read the books! :read: The movies are complete crap compared with the original sacred writings of Tolkien.

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best -- " and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.
