Without my friends or cousins, I don't make sense. Life would be somewhere not worth my time.

Today I went to IKEA and hid in the wardrobes, and every time someone opened the doors I welcomed them to Narnia!!

Just to hijack this thread back to its original topic, I think that all of the Ms. Moore being "lovers" with Lewis to be a nasty rumor. Maybe true, maybe not. But its prime purpose is to distract from the truth that Lewis wrote. The net effect being akin to a report that Paul was really a cover name for "Saul Tarsison", a lunatic stalker of those pursuing religious freedom, and therefore you should take his books with a grain of salt.

Looking for Lewis' dirty laundry is, well, unbecoming of a Christian. We should acknowledge that all have sinned, everybody stumbles, and that we should also get back up, repent and keep striving to please God. A lot of people will simply use those stories to discredit a clearly good and thoughtful man, and can amount to gossip (I suppose it depends as to why you're peeking into the subject - prurient interest or a desire to defend the Faith). It certainly doesn't serve the purpose Lewis worked toward (almost) all his adult life.

When people ask us, I think some kind of answer along these lines to be appropriate.

*Sigh* I suppose I'll have to wander over to those other threads to say it again...

(Awaiting the rotten eggs and tomatoes...)

Moved to C. S. Lewis forum.
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.
