[quote="Bill"][quote="King Peter"]Hi, everybody!
A was looking at connections between events in C.S. Lewis' life and the story of Narnia. I know he based the Experiment House were Jill and Eustace go on his own school that he hated as a boy. There is also the possible connection between Lewis and Digory and between Lewis' mother and Digory's mother.
Does anyone else know about any obvious (or more subtle) connections between Lewis' life and the Narnia stories? Or maybe any books that specifically look at that?
I recently read that the model for Lucy was still thriving in England.
I regret I was interrupted and never finished the article.
What was her connection with Jack? Did CS know three other kids
used as models for Pevensie kids?

I thought his goddaughter, Lucy Barfield, was the inspiration for Lucy Pevensie. There's a thread about it on the Chronicles of Narnia forum.

No single person was the inspiration. Jill Flewett apparently was most of the inspiration for the personality, Lucy Barfield supplied the name and some of the personality.
The four Pensivies were an amalgamation of all the children Jack Lewis ever met (especially the evacuees during the war) with a large dose of Edith Nesbit's fictional children stirred in.
