Paxford

The man. The myth.

Paxford

Since Puddleglum is my favorite character, one of the figures in Lewis' life that has interested me the most is Fred Paxford. I loved reading about him in Gresham's book, "Jack,'s Life."

One bit if information I have not been able to find is the year of Paxford's birth and death. Does anybody know?

(The question's already been answered somewhere else, I shouldn't wonder) ;)

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.
