Help with Quote from Surprised by Joy

Hi. I'm a first time user. Hope someone can help.

I'm looking for a quote about "travel" from Lewis' "Surprised by Joy". He talks about missing the nooks and crannies of the landscape when riding a train or taking a car. It's one of his little rants within the context of something else. Does this strike a bell? If so, could someone send me the quote? This is for a travel article I'm writing for a local magazine.

Thanks.

Nate

Thanks a lot!

this is really good... but I vaguely remember something about "walking","valleys", and "trains". It was a concise quote that seemingly would be good for my article.

If it's not there, then that's ok. It's been 5 or 6 years since I read it.
