I wrote a short Narnia story. Let me know what you think...

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Legend of Cair Nammóó

Apologies for the bad grammar.

So the talking animals of Narnia extends even to the insects? I never knew that before!

it's rather vague, but I remeber there was a company some years ago who wanted to write new Narnia stories for popular consumtion. but without the Chirstian worldview which is the very soul of the series. I'm glad to see this story is much in keeping with Lewis's outlook.

Dear Solomon, it is illegal to publish stories using someone else's characters and settings. It is called fan fiction, but it is still illegal.

The CSLewis company is very tough on breaches of copyright, so please be wise. (Which you should with a name like that!)

That's not entirely true. There are fan fictions that are legal as long as no money is being exchanged, Star Trek is big in the Fan Fiction world and okay with Paramount as long as no one sells it. Now I don't know about Narnia, but not all fan fiction is illegal.

I do know about Narnia. The copyright is strongly held and sternly enforced.
We don't want people writing rubbish based on these excellent stories. (and no, I have chosen not to read whatever the above poster has written).

Well it wasn't rubbish. It was quite possibly the best I have read since Lewis himself

It's not my place to weigh-in on this in any official sense, but I recall that fan-fiction is not allowed in The Wardrobe. Sorry!

Since we already have a thread on this topic, perhaps John or Sven will want to combine these two?
Solomon, did you forget that you were already a leader in this discussion?

The short story was actually very well-written. My only concerns are the name for the bee and its home and the fact it has a tiara. The name is modern and seems out of place, the name of the home seems a little lame and the tiara just doesn't sit right. Besides these few elements I thought it was an excellent piece. Well done!
