Do you want to enjoy some more about "Narnia"?

Postby narnia56 » March 29th, 2010, 7:26 pm

This is the following book that C.S Lewis wrote:
1. The Magician's Nephew-Book 1
2. The Lion, the witch, and the Wardrobe- Book 2
3. The Horse and His Boy- Book 3
4. Prince Caspian- Book 4
5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader- Book 5
6. The Silver Chair- Book 6
7. The Last Battle- Book 7
Characters: Peter (The oldest), Susan (The 2nd), Edmund (The 3rd), and Lucy (The youngest), Aslan (The Lion).

Please read the whole series of this book and enjoy it, as you remember the author of this book who died in 1963 and please left a post as you honor his (Intelligent) work. And thank you for reading his book.

You may be surprised to learn that the author didn't write the books labelled 1,2,3 etc (or in that order). He wrote them in a different order, and the majority of members on this forum consider it worth following the order in which he 'discovered' things about Narnia and its history.
This avoids you thinking 'what?' when he says he doesn't know something that you read in a chronologically earlier book. It allows you to discover Narnia through the eyes of the Pevensie children without any pre-conceived ideas.

The order is: LWW,PC, VDT, SC, MN, HHB (or HHB before MN), LB.

Enjoy!

Of course after the first time, you can read any of the books in any order!
Lots of people do find they like chronological best - for ongoing reading.

Maybe it's just me, but when reading all of them in series I always liked Magician's Nephew first. I'm not sure why, it just seems to lay a bit of foundation.
All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.
