Let me get this strait. There are actually Three different clubs. Maybe four ( the I Don't Care Club of Bill).

2456317 club
2453617 club
2345617 club

Which do I join. The last time I looked at this thread there was only one club. One month later, there are four. Who's on which club?
Without my friends or cousins, I don't make sense. Life would be somewhere not worth my time.

EGADS!!! How did I miss this coming about?!
The only set of CON I own are my original set from 1976, which are paper back and completely falling apart... the thought of replacing them with books in the wrong published order, and (horrors) with pictures from the movie, makes my eyes dart around the room, heart pounding with anxiety!! You've GOT to be kidding!

Easy! Join the club with the best T-shirt! It's the American Way!

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

Mine is in great condition, but I"m checking daily to see what my son does to it and where he leaves it....he is a dust cover destroyer, that boy. And his darn father supports him....they subscribe to the "it gets in the way you must take it off and put it somewhere 'safe' until you're done reading the book" theory of reading....and most titles never become reunited with their covers.

All I can think of in response to "the American way" is "the capitalist way". And then sinister anti-capitalist murmuring starts running through my head. I don't need any more voices in my head! (just kidding!)

Question, question!!!

I've joined a Narnia forum in Spanish. A lot of them hate the "new" "order". Can't we start a little divission of the 245637 club there? ;)

Yes, of course. :) This isn't an "official club" of any sort. Do what you will with it. *grin*

False ideas may be refuted indeed by argument, but by true ideas alone are they expelled. — Apologia Pro Vita Sua: Cardinal Newman
Freedom lost and then regained bites with deeper fangs than freedom never in danger. — Cicero
You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them. — Ray Bradbury

“First they came for Abdul Rahman and I spoke out because I was a Muslim. Then they came for the Palestinians and I raised hell because I was a Jew. Then they came for the Iraqis and I protested because I was an American. Then they came for the Muslims and I spoke out because I was a Christian, Then they came for the poor and I spoke out because I was rich. By the time they came for me, I had all the support a man could ask for.”
