oh hello ! i'm hope i'm not being rude, I am so pleased that i'm not the only one in the world who takes offense at the new order.
I found this site while looking around for an explanation: my mother says that in the 70's she read something of C.S. Lewis's that said WHY he published the books/wrote the stories in the order he did, that it was an intentional way to introduce children to the theological concepts little by little, and that if he had introduced the books in chronological order it would have taken them into reading matter that was of greater depth too quickly, or something along those lines. I'd love to research his works and find where he said that, so I could bombard the publishers with it! Does anybody here have any idea? Is this something that's been discussed before and I haven't seen it yet, in my newbie rush of enthusiasm to put my first post out there?
P.S. Now I've got that song in my head and it will probably be there all weekend.....
