Hmm, the chronological folks could have problems if they don't get around to ever making The Magican's Nephew. After all, to keep the children at the right ages, they will have to shoot in publication order! Meaning, if they don't turn all of the books into film, they might not get to that one. In other words, they may never be able to see the movies!

I think chronological order supporters are probably aware that there's something lacking in that order. Personally speaking, that was the order I initially (and a few times thereafter) read it. I always used to be somewhat diplomatic about the order to read the chronicles - because I only really new the Chronological order way.

Now I've read the publication order, I think that's the way first time readers should read it. I think it's like starting at the heart and working your way out (like a ripple effect) - and of course the mystery and excitement of the series is much more evident when read in the publication order way (not that it isn't there in the chronological order - just diminished).

Welcome to the club, wisewoman!
Do what you like with your sig. We're a very lenient club. ;)
No club dues, no rules (except to uphold the publication order), no initiation process...

We do have a theme song, a band, and our own hats and t-shirts and things! :D

All new members, be sure and buy 15 or 16 of the official club t-shirt, here modeled by our celebrity spokesbabe!

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

*gasp*

Is the T-shirt required? I may have to reconsider...

Then they came for the Muslims and I spoke out because I was a Christian, Then they came for the poor and I spoke out because I was rich. By the time they came for me, I had all the support a man could ask for.”
