Narnia Movie Preview!

Postby pedestrian73 » September 19th, 2005, 11:08 pm

My buddy bought The Hitchhiker's Guide movie on DVD. There is a lengthy preview for the Narnia movie at the beginning.

WOW, it looked really cool! Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? I think it looked very true to Pauline Baine's artwork. It really looked nice. I'm excited and can't wait for December! :)

Hello, this is my first post in this forum! I am a NarniaWeb News Poster, so I've been hung up around there for a long time. And now I finally have the chance to check out this forum! I'm really excited about it! I've grew up with Narnia (BBC movies, books on tape), but I didn't sit down and read the whole series for myself all the way through until early 2001. And that ended up leading to my salvation in some ways but that's another story. I heard about the movie in early 2002 and have been following the production ever since. I am very hopeful for it, but I'm usually skeptical when news comes in.

Anyway, I just wanted to assure some people that have replied to this thread that there WILL indeed be another trailer.....soon.
And I also didn't intend to buy the Hitchhiker DVD (even though I love the book) but I did when I heard that the Narnia trailer was on it. :D

Do you want to know where to find the teaser trailer? Try the link on narniaweb.com
The 10-minute preview is unlikely to be on the net as the official trailer will be out any day now.

For those interested, there is a link to the new trailer over at .
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

Yesterday I went to a seminar/viewing for the movie and saw some clips (although some were unfinished) and it almost brought a tear to my eye. Since I was a kid, I have wanted to see this book brought to a movie. If you get the chance to go to one of these "sneak peek" events, I strongly suggest doing so. The Q & A with Gresham was pretty interesting as well. Here is a link to the available events...

"Jill," said Tirian, "you are the bravest and most wood-wise of all my subjects, but also the most malapert and disobedient."
"By the Mane!" he whispered to Eustace. "This girl is a wondrous wood-maid. If she had Dryad's blood in her she could scarce do it better." - The Last Battle
