Oh, no! Now I'm worried that they might not do the other books. It says they might not, b/c people aren't really looking for a sequel.
Well, I'm looking for a sequel.

I lose confidence in articles like this...

Postby carol » November 18th, 2005, 8:28 pm

... when they have glaring errors in their information:

"Like the Lord of the Rings, the film is based on a 20th century literary classic and has been mostly shot in New Zealand, on soundstages previously used for Jackson's films."

Rubbish! PJ was using them himself - anyone heard of King Kong? PJ's studios/soundstages are in Wellington. Adamson was filming in Auckland, several hundred km away. Duh! Or do they mean that NZ is one big soundstage? :p

They aren't very different, but I actually like the American changes better. I know there is one section in VDT about the Dark Island that is significantly different and the wolf in LWW is Maugrim (British) or Fenris Ulf (American).

See thread where the differences were discussed in detail. Paul Ford's final post quotes the Dark Island passages from both versions.
"But if the Witch could have looked a little further back, into the stillness and the darkness before Time dawned, she would have read there a different incantation. She would have known that when a willing victim who has committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards." - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
