Hi guys, question about the order of the books

Postby m11a1 » April 10th, 2006, 7:53 pm

Hello, first post :)

Anyways, I made a bet with my friend the other day about the order of the books for the The Chronicles of Narnia. I said that the first book was The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe However, my friend claims that it was something else. So other friend of mine looked it up and told me that I lost the bet, but I don't believe him. After I went home that night, I came across my old bookset of The Chronicles of Narnia. And here was the order on the set (Published by Collier Books of Macmillan Publishing Company):

1) The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
2) Prince Caspian
3) The Voyage of the "Dawn Treader"
4) The Silver Chair
5) The Horse and his Boy
6) The Magician's Nephew
7) The Last Battle

So wasn't I right then? Or is there no actual correct order?

Thanks guys,
T^3

She hoped to be wise and reasonable in time; but alas! alas! she must confess to herself that she was not wise yet. ~ Jane Austen, Persuasion

Since there are already a sizeable number of threads on this topic, I'm locking this one down. m11a1, if you really need some more info on this topic, go to the FAQ thread in the homework forum, located .
Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.
