I'm glad it was voluntary and not that he was turned to gold on Deathwater Island or forever stayed a dragon so that his claws couldn't hold a pen to write with, or was sold into slavery on the Lone Islands never to escape, curshed by the serpent.

Thinking of the 3000+ who involuntarily also stopped keeping diaries that day,

I rather thought it a moving, poignant and symbolic gesture to honour the day rather than to as a humourous post. Don't you agree? It nearly brought tears to my eyes when I first read it.

I'm sorry Carol -- I had second thoughts after posting if the comment wasn't too flippant about the tragedy.

I apologize to anyone else who was offended.

I wanted to delete the original post just now, but it doesn't seem to be possible in the new system.

So do you mean that the heart-wrenching poignancy of your post in connection with the attack in NY was unintended? Talk about serendipity!
