Which is exactly why I questioned the idea of God "needing" to do anything. Rather, Creation is probably seen better as simply an act of Love and God's free will.

And can it be applied to the OT, since the Son doesn't appear in that at all? I'm genuinely asking, here, btw - I have no definite opinion one way or the other.


Another hint of the Trinity, is that God is addressed as Elohim, which is a plural noun in the very verse that says, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one."

Also, the visit of the three angels to Abraham has traditionally been interpreted as a theophany, an appearance of God.

None of these things alone might seem significant, but added up, they present a formidable case. I'm not just talking about the things I've mentioned. As I said before, there are centuries of writing on this.
