Today I went to IKEA and hid in the wardrobes, and every time someone opened the doors I welcomed them to Narnia!!

Good grief people, you can never be happy can you?
There are worse things to cry over.
I felt the Pevensies recieved some extra character development in the movie, that was much needed in the book (they were very 1 dimensional, except Edmund).

…on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a fair green country under a swift sunrise.

I'm glad to see that peace and civility has returned to this conversation! I would again like to point out though, for Diamond, Esther and Urendil that we should keep in mind the negative press about alleged "changes" that were reported when LWW was being made. As I recall it a lot of the things we were hearing were made me sick at the thought, but the vast majority of them didn't even occur in the movie and the ones that did end up appearing weren't nearly as distorted from the book as what the press reports and rumours made them sound.

So I would encourage everyone not to just jump on a bandwagon of criticism but to remember that much of what you'd read and hear at the moment is likely to be no more nor less than just rumour.

Ooh, ooh, a great interview!!

Postby carol » February 12th, 2007, 8:22 am

Just when we needed them, there are some comments from Doug Gresham from a lovely interview done by a Philipino Christian group.

And here is the entire interview:

I hope these are of some help to you.

(PS I was very interested in what he said about Tony Hopkins!)

Pfft.. As if this forum is ever rude or obnoxious... unless putting forwards opinions count as rude these days!
