Narnia at ILM

I was at Industrial Light & Magic on Friday (George Lucas's special effects company) and they showed a 10 minute film to guests on what they do. Scenes from TLWW were quite prevelent in the presentation. Unfortunately ILM will not be doing the special effects for PC. My friend Dave (who works at ILM) animated many creatures at Aslan's camp and in the battle during for the first movie and animated the creatures in the fire at Tumnus's cave. He's very disappointed he won't be working on PC since he's such a big Narnia fan.

Weta and Weta

Allow me to introduce Weta and Weta, the non-identical twins!

Weta Workshops, on my right, makes props, armour, etc. Physical stuff.

Weta Digital, on my left, does the CG magic, uses Massive, creates Gollum using motion capture, and does excellent animation.

And it's all New Zealand talent!! :pleased:
