Having more scholars might help if Gresham would listen to their advice. Movies on Dickens' books seem to be quite accurate-- perhaps scholars have worked on them too. One version of A Christmas Carol (the 1951 movie with Alastair Sim as Scrooge) even had Dickens' granddaughter's approval. And it's considered to be one of the best film versions of the story.

Sadly, the words "wicked" and "cool" have similar meanings for the younger generation.
If you want to know why Lewis didn't approve of women fighting in war, just read any of the eye-witness accounts of life in WW1 trenches. He was there, and had he possessed a sister, he would most assuredly not have wanted her to be there too. [cf Eomer finding Eowyn on the battlefield, in the movie of ROTK].

…on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a fair green country under a swift sunrise.
