…on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a fair green country under a swift sunrise.

I'm not sure how a thread on where Susan spent eternity became a discussion on talking to dead people!

My only comment on talking to the dead is that it is strictly forbidden in the bible - it's called "Necromancy". I don't do it.

As for Susan, I believe that the important question isn't "Where did Susan [a fictional character] spend eternity?" but "Where will real people who have turned away from faith spend eternity?"

Susan will spend eternity in a series of books. But our friends and associates are real people, and what we have learned from reading her story should give us motivation to pray for them, talk to them, and do everything we can to help them turn back to God and salvation in Jesus Christ.
